The Tbilisi Botanical Garden is located in the historical center of Tbilisi, south of the Sololaki ridge, in the valley of the Tsavkisistskali River.
The history of the Tbilisi Botanical Garden has about four hundred years. The botanical garden is widely represented by Georgian and world flora (about 3500 taxonomic units). There are three bridges across the Tsavkisistskali River on the territory of the Botanical Garden. Especially noteworthy is the arched bridge over a large waterfall, built in 1914. The area of the botanical garden is 128 hectares.
