In the Middle Ages, this square was called Caravanserai, which means "hotel square", and received its current name only in 2006. On the square there is a monument to Freedom, created by Zurab Tsereteli, on which St. George kills a dragon. In principle, this area for the tourist is no longer remarkable. Although it is of great importance for the city - the city administration is located here and this square was also the venue for rallies during the Georgian struggle for independence.→
