Redcliff Square
Radcliffe Square, Radcliffe Square
Great britain, Oxford
Radcliffe Square, located in the center of Oxford, is named after Oxford University graduate John Radcliffe, who became the king's personal physician and bequeathed his considerable fortune to his native Alma Mater. The buildings of the Radcliffe Science Library and the Bodleian Library are located on the square, the vaults of which are interconnected by an underground tunnel for the convenience of transporting books. There are also buildings of two colleges of the university. In the southern part of the square is the Church of St. Mary the Virgin with a tower crowned with a spire - the main church of Oxford University. When church services are not taking place, you can go up to the top of the tower with a ticket and look at University Oxford from a bird's eye view.
