Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square
Great britain, London
Trafalgar Square is a square in the center of London where, on the site of the Charing Cross, the three primary streets of Westminster converge - Strand, Whitehall and Mall.

In the center of the square is Nelson's column of dark gray granite, 44 meters high, crowned with a statue of Admiral Nelson. Around the square are the London National Gallery, St. Martin in the Fields, Admiralty Arch and several embassies.

Trafalgar Square is a traditional place for rallies, demonstrations, and mass celebrations.

I always come here when I'm in London. There are pubs and restaurants around, this is the very center. And in the evening, the square resembles a mini-New York thanks to glowing advertisements.

Those who studied English in Soviet schools know everything about this square. In February, she was not very crowded, not very friendly and not very beautiful. The usual central square of a European city. We did not even find in ourselves the desire to photograph something.
