The Globe Theater is located on the South Bank of the Thames near
Millennium Bridge. It was built in 1997, 200 meters from Shakespeare's famous Globe Theatre, which was destroyed by fire in 1613. The appearance of the modern theater is as close as possible to the old one: a round courtyard, a protruding stage, a thatched roof. The theater, as in Shakespearean times, is open from May 19 to September 20.
