The Queen Victoria Memorial is a sculpture erected in 1914 in front of
Buckingham Palace. The six-meter statue of the queen, made of Portland stone, holds a power orb and a scepter in her hands. The white marble pedestal is surrounded by figures of angels, symbolizing truth, justice and motherhood, and on top of it stands the statue of Victory. The memorial is a tribute to the great queen, in whose era Britain reached the peak of its power.
