Millennium Bridge

Millennium Bridge, London Millennium Footbridge
Great britain, London
The Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian suspension bridge across the River Thames with two Y-shaped pillars. On one side of the bridge is Tate Modern, and on the other side is St Paul's Cathedral.

The Millennium Bridge was built in 1998–1999, then reconstructed in 2000 due to precariousness. In 2007, the bridge was closed during hurricane Kirill.

Passing over the bridge, on one side you see St. Paul's Cathedral, on the other side - Tate Modern, under you the Thames flows. It takes a lot of effort to take your eyes off these three sights that you read about in school English textbooks and see the bridge. However, the bridge is quite nice and would certainly become an independent object if it were not overshadowed by such neighbors. In addition, it makes "walkable" a decent part of the south bank of the Thames. Which is very good for those who want to save on housing, but at the same time live a 15-minute walk from the city center.
