Founded in the middle of the 19th century, St. George's Hall is to this day one of the main cultural centers of Liverpool. The imposing building with massive columns was designed in the best traditions of classicism by aspiring British architect Harvey Lonsdale Elmes. Currently, concerts, exhibitions, conferences and other cultural events are held in the halls of St. George's Hall.
