St. Giles Cathedral is located in the city center on
Royal Mile. The country's main Presbyterian church was built at the beginning of the 12th century in the Gothic style, and the building acquired its modern look at the end of the 14th century, when it was completely restored after a fire. The cathedral has magnificent stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes. At the beginning of the 20th century, a chapel of the Order of the Thistle was built near the cathedral, which is very popular.
