The famous "bloodless bullfight" was born in these places. The first written mention of the Camargue bullfight dates back to 1403, when it was held in honor of Louis II of Anjou, who ruled Provence at that time. The goal of the Camargue bullfight is to tear off a special cockade from the horns of a bull and survive at the same time. In their free time, the animals graze in the rich meadows of the Camargue delta and die not in the arena, but of natural death, from old age, after 10 - 15 years of a career.→
