This is the oldest house in the city, it says "1540" above its door. This half-timbered Renaissance house was built by the wealthy shipowner Guillaume Ladiret in 1540, as evidenced by the inscription above the porch. It presents an exhibition of local history and traditions of the country. The name Maison Henri IV comes from the legend that in 1593, during the military campaigns against the League in the Dieppe region, King Henry IV stopped here to spend the night. One of the exhibits is the bed on which he slept.→
