On one of the beautiful Parisian squares, Place des Vosges, 6, on the second floor of an old mansion, there is an apartment-museum of Victor Hugo. It was opened on the centenary of the birth of Victor Hugo in his former apartment. His friend and executor Paul Meurice bought the mansion and donated books, manuscripts, drawings, personal belongings of the writer, which became the basis of the museum composition. The heavy-framed rooms are hung with paintings by masters, which depict members of his family, famous people and friends of the family, as well as historical moments from various periods.→
