The Pradier Fountain (Fontaine Pradier), installed in 1848, is named after the sculptor Jean Jacques Pradier. The main element of the fountain is a woman representing the allegorical image of Nimes. The crown on her head is formed from the main monuments of the city: the Arena and the Square House. Four smaller statues - two men and two women - symbolize the main rivers of the Nimes region.
