This channel is the former course of the Oda River (it changed its course in the 14th century). The length of the canal is 32 km. There are 13 locks on the channel. From the highest point at Port Robin, it descends to Narbonne. In the city, it passes under the bridge of sellers, one of the oldest in France, which was built in the 2nd century by decree of the Roman proconsul Hadrian, who wanted to settle in the city. Then it was called Bridge V? tus and was the only road to the Pyrenees. The canal then passes through the Bagh and Sezhan ponds and flows into the Mediterranean Sea at Port la Nouvelle.→
