It is difficult to climb, so I advise you to use the funicular, but you can go down on foot, visiting the rose garden and the ancient Roman ruins of the ancient amphitheater, located nearby, at the foot of the basilica. Right next to the Cathedral there is a large observation deck that offers a magnificent view of Lyon, especially in sunny, clear weather. The temple itself is incredibly beautiful! It is beautiful on the outside, but even more beautiful on the inside. The decoration of the cathedral is very rich. The interiors are like no other. It is 2-storey, it is best to enter on the right, there is a staircase to the lower tier, and then you will go into the main hall, so the impressions from what you see are growing. The crypt contains images of the Virgin from all over the world. The cathedral impresses with its luxury, decoration, mosaics, stained-glass windows and vault painting...especially the upper level...
