La Tania is a ski resort in the Courchevel "Three Valleys" area at an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level. It was built for the 1992 Albertville Olympics and is accessible by car.
Cars are not allowed in the center of the village. It consists of several apartment buildings, a couple of hotels and numerous chalets, some of which are located in the forest. There are ski rentals, a tourist office, a newsstand, a bakery, a supermarket, a post office, a ski lift ticket office and restaurant bars.
The village is served by a gondola lift for 12 people, moving at high speed. From the end point of its stops, you can ski to the zones of Courchevel or Meribel. There are also two rope tows that can also take you from the village to the mountainside from Courchevel. La Tania also boasts the Ecole du Ski Français ski school, the largest ski school in France, and another school called the Magic of Movement.
There are three tracks that wind through the forest and lead to the village from the top of the lift - "red", "blue" and "green"; The blue track is covered by snow cannons, so it is accessible all year round. La Tania also has a free rope tow for beginner skiers, open all season ("Troika").
