Not far from the Cathedral, there is an unusual Agar house (Hotel d’Agar), which attracts attention with huge gargoyles grinning their teeth from the walls of the building. The building itself dates back to the 12th century. The building has been extensively rebuilt several times. The name of the house was given by the Agar family, who lived here for a long time. The head of the family, a member of the Parliament of Aix, took an active part in the religious wars that raged in this territory in the 16th century.→
