Blois Castle is a whole complex that unites 4 wings around the courtyard. It is not only the grandeur of the building, marvelous stained-glass windows, masterfully executed stucco and tapestries from the collection of Catherine de Medici, but also the history of this masterpiece of architecture that is amazing. The history of the castle began in the 9th century, when it was a small fortress. Since then, the owners of the castle have been the counts of Blois, Duke Louis of Orleans and his son Charles, who made the castle a kind of center of French poetry and art.→
