Two round towers and the remains of the wall are the Cavalry Gate (Porte de la Cavalerie), which served as the northern entrance to the old city of Arles. The city wall was built in the 13th century, when the city was actively growing and developing. It remained unchanged until the 19th century. The cavalry entrance was once equipped with a gate and a drawbridge, which have not survived to this day. Address: Rue de la Cavalerie.
