The ancient theater (Theatre Antique) was built at the end of the 1st century BC. e. during the reign of Emperor Augustus. This is one of the first Roman theaters built of stone. Unlike the Greek theatres, it was not dedicated to Dionysus, but to Apollo. It is known that the theater remained active until the beginning of the 5th century. Unfortunately, the theater is only partially preserved. For its rich history, it even managed to serve as a quarry for the construction of various buildings of the city.→
