Jean-Baptiste d'Albert, head of the Chamber of Auditors, bought the buildings adjacent to his mansion and ordered the architect Laurent Vallon to reconstruct the entire square. This is how this elegant little square was born, designed by the then fashionable Parisian architecture of the royal squares. In the center there is a round fountain, the metal crate for which was made by the students of the School of Crafts.→
