Turku Castle is located in the southwestern part of the city. It was founded in the 13th century by the Swedes and for several centuries was of great strategic importance, and then served as a residence for the Swedish kings. Currently, the castle houses a historical museum, which displays a rich collection of weapons, traditional clothing, ceramic and porcelain products, as well as various decorations.
