Finland, Helsinki
Esplanade Park is a linden park in the historical center of Helsinki in the Kaartinkaupunki district. The park was laid out in the 1830s thanks to the efforts of the city architect Carl Ludwig Engel.
The Espa summer theater operates in the park. One of the oldest restaurants in the Finnish capital is also located there. In the center of the park stands a monument to the poet Ludwig Runeberg. This monument was created in 1885 by his son Walter. Later, monuments to several other writers appeared in the park, for example, Topelius.
