Ateneum is the main museum in Finland. Located on Rautatientori Square, opposite Helsinki Central Station. The Ateneum has the largest collection of classical art in Finland. Previously, the museum building housed the Academy of Arts and the Helsinki University of Art and Design. The Ateneum, together with the Kiasma and Sinebrychov Park complexes, forms the Finnish National Gallery. The museum is run by the state.
