In Girona, the old fortress walls (Passeig de la Muralla) are well preserved, some fragments of which date back to the 14th century. The wide passage of the fortress wall is an excellent footpath and observation platform. You can climb the wall right at the entrance to the old town, next to the Jardi de L'infancia park. The wall goes around the entire old city in a semicircle - that is, you can walk along the wall to the Cathedral (Placa de la Catedral) and from there start exploring the main sights of Girona.→
