Torre del Oro is located on the Guadalquivir promenade, west of the Seville Alcazar. It was built in 1220 by the Moors who owned the city at the time. The 37-meter multifaceted tower played an important role in the defensive structures of the city. Today it houses a cozy Maritime Museum.
