The Archive of the Indies is located in the city center opposite the Seville Cathedral of Maria de la Sede e Giralda. It is housed in an old Renaissance palace from the end of the 16th century. The unique archive contains complete information about the history of the Spanish colonies in America and the Philippines - about 43 thousand volumes in total. It houses Columbus' logbook, unique geographical maps and other valuable exhibits.
