Prat de la Riba School

Escoles Prat de la Riba
Spain, Reus
The Prat de la Riba School was built in 1908-1917 according to the design of Pere Caselles and bears the name of the popular Catalan publicist Enric Prata de la Riba. The school consists of two large educational buildings connected by galleries. The need for two buildings was due to the division of students by gender. The building is faced with stone and brick, the facades are decorated with ceramic panels by the Catalan artist Francesc Labart. The coat of arms of Spain is placed in the central place, thus showing that the construction of the school was financed by the local authorities.
