Prima Square, already historically, is the center of the city's social life. On the square there is a monument to General Prim, a native of Reus, a politician and military leader. Fun fact about the statue. The rear of the horse on which General Prim sits is turned towards Tarragona, the traditional rival of Reus. This rivalry began in 1833, when the current province of Tarragona was formed. In terms of the number of inhabitants and its economic potential, Reus claimed the title of the capital of the province, but Tarragona was lucky, which proved its leadership status by the fact that the city has a seaport, an episcopal residence and its inhabitants more than others took part in the battles with Napoleon : ).→
