House of Ferran de Querol y Bofarul, Casa Querol

The Carol House was built in 1901 by the famous modernist architect Pere Caselles, commissioned by Ferrand Carol. The building is characterized by eclecticism, a mixture of different forms and styles. The niches of the upper floor are decorated with flower arrangements, the left niche includes the emblem of the rose of Reu, and the right one - the coat of arms of the owner. The second floor is decorated with a stone balcony on two consoles, while the balcony on the third floor is made of wrought iron.

Walk along the Reus Art Nouveau Route
The narrow Casa Querol was built by the same prolific Pere Caselles in 1901. Address: Carrer de Llovera, 17. This small but very harmonious modernist building was built for the lawyer Ferran Count of Reus. Pay attention to the decorative panels depicting the coat of arms of Reus, made in the sgraffito technique. A little lower is the heraldic emblem of the first owner of the building.→
