Santiago Bernabeu Stadium
Spain, Madrid
The home football arena of the eminent Spanish club Real Madrid, which also serves as a playground for the national team. Santiago Bernabeu is located in the north of the Spanish capital, next to the metro station of the same name. The sports complex can accommodate over 81,000 spectators and is thus one of the largest in the country. The stadium was built in 1947 next to the old arena, which did not meet the needs of the time. Only 8 years later, the stadium began to bear its current name - in honor of the president of Real Madrid, under which the team won many trophies, both domestic and European. Of the curious facts, it is worth noting that at one time the stadium hosted the finals of the European and world football championships, as well as four finals of the prestigious European tournament Champions League.
