Royal Theater

The Royal Theater is located in the western part of the city next to the Royal Palace. The main opera house in Madrid was built in 1850, and its last large-scale reconstruction was completed in 1997. The irregularly shaped hexagonal building has an unusual design and a rich interior. Performances by famous opera singers often take place here.
