Cathedral of Malaga

Malaga Cathedral, Malaga Cathedral
Spain, Costa del Sol
The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Incarnation in Malaga is one of the main pearls of the Renaissance in all of Andalusia. It is located within the ancient fortress walls and forms an extensive architectural ensemble together with the Alcazaba and the fortress of Gibralfaro.

The cathedral was built between 1528 and 1782, according to the drawings of Diego de Siloe. Malaga Cathedral is the second highest cathedral in Andalusia. The northern tower of the cathedral reaches 84 meters in height, while the southern tower has not yet been completed. It is believed that the money for this tower was used to help the United States in the Revolutionary War, as written on a plaque at the base of the tower.

"La Manquita" is a one-armed lady. The second tallest cathedral in Spain. Huge cathedral, overwhelming. Inside, along the perimeter of the building, there are many chapels. It's dark and difficult to photograph. Flash is prohibited. You can take an audio guide.
