The ruins of the Iberian settlement of Tossal de la Cala are located in the southwestern part of Benidorm between the beaches of Poniente and Finestrat. They were discovered on top of a hill in the middle of the 20th century during archaeological excavations. Scientists attribute the Iberian settlement to the III-II centuries BC. Many ceramic and metal objects of that era were recovered to the surface. Research continues to this day.
