The marble bridge over the Guadalquivir in Cordoba was built by the Romans over 2000 years ago, I was lucky enough to walk along it in the late 70s of the last century. Its condition was unimportant, the marble was short-lived and not very suitable for transport facilities, but that bridge had a significant advantage - it was genuine! Nearby, on the Guadalquivir embankment, there was a place where the narrator (Prosper Mé rimé e) in the autumn of 1830 met a depraved thief and robber named Carmen.→
