Maspalomas beach is located in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, near the resort of the same name, between the beach areas of Playa del Inglés and Meloneras. The western part of the beach starts from a lighthouse 68 meters high, built in 1897. Everything here is equipped for family and active recreation, there is a rental of hammocks and umbrellas, water bikes and motorcycles, showers are equipped, beach restaurants are open. The central, almost unequipped part of the beach is popular with nudist lovers, to the east there is a beach for members of the LGBT community.
The decoration of the beach are the dunes of golden sand, stretching for several kilometers from Playa del Inglés to the lighthouse - in the direction of the wind, almost constantly blowing from east to south. The dunes with an area of about 400 hectares have been declared a protected area, in the western part of which there is Lake Charca de Maspalomas, where migratory birds rest in winter. Maspalomas beach with dunes is popular with lovers of romantic walks. In the area of the lighthouse, you can book a camel ride along the dunes. Read completely ↓
