The gate was built in 1901 by the great Antoni Gaudí . The building, which was supposed to be the main entrance to the country estate of the manufacturer Miralles, today stands surrounded by high-rise buildings, which looks quite contrasting. Now in Barcelona there is an ongoing discussion about the transfer of the Miralles Manor Gate to Park Gü ell, since the city authorities consider it inappropriate to find the Gate among the modern buildings of the city.→
