These Gothic shipyards were founded as early as the reign of Jaume the Conqueror (13th century). Later, the urgent need for ships to advance in the Mediterranean forced them to constantly expand them. The author of these best European shipyards of his era, where up to 30 ships could be built at the same time, was Arnau Ferrer. If the topic of maritime history is of interest to you, you can visit the Museum of Navigation, opened in the building of the shipyards. The cost of visiting is 2.5 euros.
