Home football arena of the famous Spanish club "Barcelona" with a capacity of more than 99 thousand spectators. Located in the western part of the city, 10 minutes walk from Collblanc metro station. The name Camp Nou in Catalan means "New Field", although from the moment it opened in the mid-1950s and for several decades, the stadium had a less sonorous name - Estadi del FC Barcelona, that is, the Barcelona FC Stadium. Everything changed in 2001, when the club's management voted for the "people's" Camp Nou, and so rooted among the fans. By the number of spectators, Camp Nou is considered the largest stadium in Europe, and only the twelfth in the world. The sports complex is used not only for its intended purpose (domestic championship, European cup tournaments), but also often as a concert venue. On the territory of the stadium there is a permanent museum of Barcelona, u200bu200bwhere visitors can "touch" the history of the legendary team.
