A smiling shrimp with outstretched claws that look more like those of a lobster perched comfortably on a small colonnade of Barcelona's waterfront. The author of the project is Javier Mariscal. It is interesting that the sculpture was conceived as a kind of feature of one of the local restaurants to attract the attention of customers on the eve of the 1992 Olympic Games. A little later, the restaurant closed, and the "Shrimp" itself, after long trials and disputes, became the property of the city authorities of Barcelona.→
