Ciutadella Park is located in the northeastern part of Barcelona's Old Town. In 1714, a French fortress was built on this site, and in the middle of the 19th century, after the removal of the French occupation, it was destroyed by local residents and a park began to be built in its place. In the center of the park there is a lake, to which three central alleys lead - Linden, Topolinaya and Vyazovaya. In the northern part is the Cascada Fountain, decorated with a bronze Aurora quadriga. Also in the park are the Museum of Zoology, the Museum of Modern Art and the Catalan Parliament.

For lovers of leisurely walks and beautiful views
The Ciutadella or Ciutadella Park is a great place to rest and relax. What to pay attention to? - Castle of three dragons. Architect Luis Domè nech i Montaner. The building resembles a fairy-tale castle with Moorish architectural motifs. Now it houses the Zoological Museum; - Cascading fountain, made in a classic style. The composition of this fountain was designed by the architect Josep Fonsere, who took the Roman Trevi Fountain as a basis, and Antoni Gaudí , little known at that time.→

A bright and colorful garden on the site of a gloomy fortress.
On the site of the current Citadel Park, 150 years ago, there was the largest fortress in all of Europe. The gloomy fortress has never enjoyed much love among the locals. When the fortress was demolished without regret, a beautiful park was built. Entrance to the park is free. The park is small and cozy. In the center of the park is very beautiful, just a fabulous fountain and a pond with palm trees, ducks and flowers. Photos are very bright. And here parrots jump right on the ground. Such, green, well, those that sit in our cages: ) This park is an oasis in the bustle of the city.→
