On the beach of Barceloneta, there is a sculpture in the form of a pile of giant boxes called "The Wounded Star" (La estrella herida). This is the work of German artist Rebecca Horn, which symbolizes a star that has fallen from the sky. If you can’t make out the star in this composition, then there are still options for interpreting the symbolism of this sculptural group. Rebecca Horne may have captured the iconic beach eateries here, which were demolished before the 1992 Olympics.
