The building, built at an early stage of Catalan modernism, was the first building in Barcelona to combine the typology of the city and the industrial technologies of metal and brick. By the way, the "wire" on the top of the faç ade is not cables or antennas, but Antoni Tapies' industrial sculpture Cloud and Chair, created by the master specifically for his fund.
