Houses of Rocamora

Casas Rocamora, Casa Rocamora
Spain, Barcelona
Rocamora Houses is a complex of buildings located at the intersection of Passeig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya. The complex, more like a medieval castle, was built in 1914-1917 by the architect brothers Joaquim and Bonaventure Bassegoda y Amigo. The decoration of this building is scaly orange-red domes, which stand out against the background of a strict facade with their brightness and diversity of form.

Casas Rocamora, architects Joaquim and Bonaventure Bassegoda y Amigo. Address: Passeig de Gracia, 6-14. Built in 1914 An imposing building with colorful tiled turrets, somewhat reminiscent of a medieval castle, this is one of the most remarkable examples of the combination of modernism and neo-Gothic in Barcelona. Under one facade, the Bonavertura brothers united several buildings. Now the first floor of Casas Rocamora is occupied by shops and shopping centers.
