Josep Puig y Cadafalch taught at the Barcelona School of Architecture, served as city architect in Mataro, and in 1917 was elected President of the Catalan Parliament. Casa Macaya belongs to the largest Spanish bank La Caixa, which uses it not for financial transactions, but for art exhibitions.→
