The wire tower is one of the most unusual monuments. It is located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona on San Miguel Square and was built in 2012 after the unrest in Catalonia. It symbolizes the desire of the Catalans for freedom. Despite numerous criticisms, the government allocated more than 700 thousand euros from the budget for the construction of the monument.

There are many strange monuments in Barcelona. This one is no exception. You can find it in the Gothic Quarter. This ultra-modern sculpture was erected in February 2012 after protests on the streets of the city. And it means "We need bread, not wires"...Strange people, Barcelona.. .
