The aquarium holds almost 4 million liters of water, its diameter is 36 meters and its depth is 5 meters. Also inside there is a transparent tunnel 80 meters long, from which you can watch the marine life.

What can I say about the Aquarium ...I agree with my son's assessment - "It's cool, but it was awesome in Istanbul. " Visit if you (like us) like to go to this kind of aquariums, have not been to them for two years, you simply do not have them in your area (country, or closer than 1000 km). It all coincided with us and we spent 2.5 hours with pleasure. But the Japanese were not seen there at all - they have more and newer aquariums of their own. Cons - The aquarium is old, it is already 25 years old.

In our travels, we try to visit not only the main city attractions, but also, if possible, plunge into the realm of nature in another country. In Barcelona, we had a wonderful opportunity to see the inhabitants of the underwater world in one of the largest and, without a doubt, the best aquariums in Europe. The ticket was relatively inexpensive, only 20 euros, but we got 100% impressions! I have never been in an underwater tunnel, where the inhabitants of the deep sea surround you from all sides, the impressions are simply unforgettable! The variety of species is also amazing: here you can see colorful small fish, huge sharks, rays, and funny octopuses.

Each Aquarium impresses with something of its own. The chip of Barcelona is an 80-meter underwater tunnel. Interesting feelings! It's one thing to look at fish swimming in a glass aquarium, and quite another to walk inside a transparent tube. Here the roles change, and free-swimming fish stare at people swimming in the pipe : ) If you get to the Aquarium on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 12 to 13, you will be able to watch the process of feeding sharks with your own eyes. By the way, sharks are fed only three times a week, the rest of the time they are engaged in digestion of food.

Barcelona Aquarium is one of the popular places that tourists love. A visit would be especially appropriate for families with children, but individual adults will also like it. The aquarium is located close to the sea and the shopping center, there is good lighting, it is allowed to take pictures and shoot - but only without a flash. Of course, the highlight is a transparent tunnel with a walkway. Imagine yourself at the bottom of the sea, and sharks, rays and other large fish swim around you. A bit expensive (20 euros entrance), but those who have not seen huge oceanariums will like it.
