Yolanda Reef is one of the popular dive sites in the
Ras Mohammed Game Reserve. It is also close to Sharks Reef and Anemone City, which are often included in the same dive program at this place. Due to unpredictable undercurrents, diving at Yolanda Reef is recommended for experienced divers. This Reef got its name from the Cypriot merchant ship Yolanda that sank here in 1980. There are excellent conditions for scuba diving, as well as the most beautiful marine life - these are bright corals, moray eels, barracudas, Napoleon fish, eels, sharks, turtles and much more. Of particular interest to divers on Yolanda Reef are the remains of the cargo carried by the sunken ship - mostly plumbing, and the ship itself has long since fallen into a deep crevice.
