Reef Jackson
Jackson Reef
Egypt, Sharm el-Sheikh
Jackson Reef is the northernmost of the four coral reefs located in the Strait of Tiran. This reef is widely known due to the wreckage of the Cypriot merchant ship "Lora" that sank here in 1981. Quite large fish live here - barracudas, trevally, reef, dark gray and hammerhead sharks; sea turtles and dozens of different exotic fish species. Divers will be interested not only in the wreckage of the ship, but also in bright, fiery red corals. You can look at the underwater world of Jackson Reef by diving with a mask and snorkel, or scuba diving. The northern part of the reef has a strong current, so it is recommended to dive and swim there only for experienced divers.
