But I don’t know how it is now, whether excursions are carried here. But the complex, like all historical monuments in Egypt, is grandiose and interesting. Queen Hatshepsut was one of the few female pharaohs and ruled Egypt for 22 years. Under her reign, ancient Egypt reached unprecedented prosperity. And after her death, Thutmose III ordered the destruction of all her images. The story of the identification of the mummy and the tomb of the queen is very interesting; a film about it was made on the Discovery Channel.
